STREAMING FROM 15TH - 21ST OCTOBER (UK & IRELAND)
‘18 Kilohertz’ refers to a sound frequency that adults cannot hear. The film focuses on the realities which faced teenagers in Kazakhstan in the late 90s, at the time of the drug boom in Almaty. It tackles one side of the conflict between kids and their parents that often led to alienation and a breakdown of the family unit. What makes a teenager prefer the romantic asphalt streets to the comfort of the family home?
Age Recommendation: 15+ *Contains very strong language throughout, strong scenes of drug use and scenes that may upset younger audiences.
