After the All Blacks lose the Rugby Championship, a devasted rugby obsessed 8-year-old girl sneaks out to practice and stumbles across a teenager in need.

An imaginative ten-year-old Syrian refugee boy must use all his creativity to break through his mother’s PTSD or risk losing her forever.

3. SUPER Dir: Victor Cruz; Spain; 2021; 16 mins

Everyday, when leaving school, Violet sees a group of kids harass, bully and mock another kid. Confronted with this injustice, Violet is inspired by what she sees most: a superhero.

4. MONKEY GIRL Dir: Isabelle Caps-Kuhn; Germany; 2020; 25 mins

Alva is a real daredevil – more so than the group of neighbours she hangs around with. So why is it suddenly so important whether you’re a boy or a girl?

Age Recommendation: 15+
